Venezuela,
gateway to South America , with 916.445 Km2 and almost 3000
kilometers of coasts on the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean,
has a magnetic and atractive geography ranging from The Andes
Sierra Nevada covered with eternal snow; the warm beaches of
the Caribbean Sea, with its 314 islands, isles and keys; the
vast central plains; the ancestral land of Tepuyes of Guayana;
theAmazon Forest; the dessert dunes of Falcon; to extensive
rivers that cover the whole territory. Venezuela is a paradisiac
landscape of unique beauties, where it is possible to contemplate,
among others: The Angel Falls, the largest waterfall of the
world; the Maracaibo Lake, the most extensive of South America
and site of the most important oil basins of the country; the
Mérida cable car, highest in the world, with its five
stations and more than 12 kilometers of journey up to "Pico
Espejo"; the Orinoco River, one of the largest in Latin
America, with a longitude of 2.600 kilometers and of greatest
strategic importance to the national economy, flowing directly
into the Atlantic Ocean and being the natural exporting route
for the iron and steel surpluses of Guayana.
Venezuela also has some 3.200 kilometers of freeways
and highways and 63 airports (7 international); one of the most
modern telecommunications net of Latin America and a privileged
geographical situation, that convert Venezuela into the business
springboard of the region.
Venezuela, is then a young, open and fully growing country.
Our main industries are the Oil Producing and Refining, Petrochemical,
Steel, Aluminum,
Cement, Construction Materials, Foods Processing, Textiles,
Auto Parts, Telecommunications, Brewery, Massive Consumption,
Consulting and Assesment, TV Production, Chemical and Pharmaceutical,
Advertising and Press and Magazines Editing. We combine one
of the highest levels of environmental protection levels with
some of the most developed industries in the world, as far as
oil petroleum, gas and natural resources are concerned. We have
approximately 40.000 kilometers of arable land, 1.960 millions
metric tons of iron reserves, US $100 billions in gold reserves.
Also accessible coal, bauxite, phosphate, zinc, copper and diamonds
extensive mines and reserves.
Additionally 3.600 millions M3 of proven natural gas reserves,
the largest heavy and extra heavy crude oil reserves in the
world, located at the Orinoco Oil Belt, and the sixth largest
reservoirs of light crude oil in the world. Venezuela is a Republic
integrated by 23 states, a Federal District and numerous insular
dependences in the Caribbean Sea.
